Serving at the food pantry

Noah driving the hand truck, delivering a load of gallon jugs.

I love this picture of Noah in the midst of the Caterpillar interns filling soap bottles.  He worked at least as hard as the Cat workers.

We made 187 gallons of laundry detergent.

We had some fun with the suds too!

Sarah helped me give the detergent away at the food pantry.

Meanwhile, Noah worked with the cardboard expert in the warehouse.

October Extravaganza

Sarah dressed up as a cat for our church party .

This is the first year she worked, instead of just partying.  She volunteered as a face painter.

Last fall hike

October 26, 2014  My parents, Mike, Noah, and I hiked along the river and played at a playground.  Sarah was hiked out and refused to go.

These last three pictures are from our neighborhood:

Fall hikes, part 2

October 25, 2014  My parents hiked from Grandview Drive to Forest Park Nature Center with us. It was a difficult but gorgeous hike.

Black belt candidate and red stripe

After my birthday hike, I took Sarah to gymnastics in Washington and then straight to Pekin for Kuk Sool Won testing.  Noah was testing for black belt candidate (DBN), and Sarah for red stripe.  It was a hard test, but they both passed.

Fall hikes, part 1

I'm behind on my blogging, because I've been busy enjoying my favorite season outside!  Now that winter weather is here, I have time to catch up.  We had several days of perfect fall weather, and I dragged everyone I could out to hike my favorite trails.  On my birthday, we went to Northwood Park in Morton to play and hike.

My first graduate!

Today, my first student graduated from spelling class. He completed the entire curriculum and can spell at the high school level. More importantly, he has an awesome personality!  His handwriting is not great, but I'm so proud of him.  I was surprisingly emotional about the whole thing.  Here's his last lesson:
