Sarah (outside playing in the snow): Mom! Can you bring out some maple syrup so I can make snow candy like yesterday?
Me: No, not today.
Sarah: Ok, thanks!
I thought she took that amazingly well, but a few minutes later...
S: Mom! Where's my maple syrup?
Me: I said I wasn't giving you any today.
S: No you didn't!
