The fort inn

The kids used to makes forts all the time, but it's been several years since they have made one.  Last night they built a fort and tried to get in it, although there was much jostling because they're too big to fit comfortably in there together.

This morning, Noah took his oatmeal in there and settled in for our morning reading time.  Sarah decided she was going to go in too.  This is where things took a turn for the strange and hilarious.  They did an impromptu reenactment of the birth of Jesus.  How different things would have turned out if God had chosen Sarah instead of Mary!
S: [opens the pillow-door] I need to get in.
N: There's no room in the inn.
S: Well then, make room! I'm pregnant and about to give birth to the Savior!
N: There's a stable over there. [point to the couch]
S: What? Are you kidding me? I'm not giving birth in a stable!  Now move over or get out!
N: [moves over, makes room, grumbles] All right, all right.  Just hurry up and birth the Savior and get out of my inn.
