Chicago--last day

Saturday, 8/17/13
8:30 a.m.  The kids had the last 2 breakfast burritos.

10:00 a.m.  Andrew Wommack.  Wow, he was really good this morning!

1:00 p.m. We had to check out of the hotel.  Lunch at Panda Express at the mall across the street.  I ate something mysterious in my kung pao chicken that almost killed me.  It exploded into a fireball in my mouth, and I started sweating and crying and praying for Jesus to come back.  [Note to self: when eating Asian food, never pick up something you don't recognize, wonder what it is, put the whole thing in your mouth and eat it].

3:00 p.m.  After wandering aimlessly around the mall and still having 4 hours to kill before Andrew's last meeting, we decided to just drive home.  We hated to miss the last meeting, but we were all tired and homeless, and it would have been a long wait.

5:30 p.m.  So glad to be home.  This is my favorite place in the whole world!  Marty was very happy to see us, Shadow seemed mildly pleased, and Shiloh was just plain angry.  She gave us the cold furry shoulder and wouldn't come out to greet us.  When we picked her up, she refused to purr.  She wouldn't even play with her favorite mouse toy at playtime tonight.  She'll get over it, probably just in time for our next trip.

Here's a video of the kids, reading and chomping ice:
