Today was Noah's last day with Brad. Bittersweet, but he got offered a higher-paying job with more hours and insurance, so he took it. He starts tomorrow at 5:45 a.m. for Grethey Rose Restoration and Construction. $12/hr and works Monday through Saturday 9 hours a day. Tomorrow he joins a crew on their last day of an outdoor kitchen addition in Champaign. Thursday they start on a deck on a $500,000 house in Bloomington.
Mike got home from his vacation today. Nice to have him back. Especially since this is what I saw today on a neighborhood website:
Stay safe everyone! Just sharing that Morton and area police will have an increased presence due to social media and other rumors about potential looters and violence to businesses in and around Morton. I didn’t see anything posted or shared from Morton officials, but I called MPD and they have increased from 3 cars patrolling to 20 tonight. Morton businesses like Walmart and Farm and Fleet are closing early tonight as well as boarding up windows due to this situation. Peoria PD has already conducted multiple public briefings which you can watch. Police might all be concentrated in one place tonight like Morton Walmart, so if you see something, say something!! The caravan that looted and caused 11 arson fires in Peoria is the same group also at EP Walmart Saturday yelling at police and pushing carts and making a mess. It is around 20-60 vehicles and the same people. Get license plates! Take pictures of faces and clothing and car descriptions! Park your vehicles in garages and lock up tight. Stay safe!! I’m praying for us all to get through this difficult time safely and sanely!
