Two handsome guys mowing in the sunset
Sweet potato pudding, inspired by a book about a slave girl in the 1800s whose mama made sweet potato pudding for Christmas. We might start making it every fall! |
Playing in the leaves, chilly nights, getting dark at 5:00 p.m., baking, apple orchards, pumpkins, harvest moons, I could go on and on....What are your favorite things about fall?

The Addy books? :) Lauren
Yes. We love Addy. We also have a friend named Addy. We love her too!
I love the crisp morning chill this time of year, the burning leaves wafting through the neighborhood, and I also look forward to the first snow. I love winter!
ps: thanks for the reading, I was driving home from Galesburg on a call tonight hoping for an entry to read.
My favorite thing is pumpkin! Pumpkin everything...pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bars, pumpkin chili. Between all of that and the wonderful changing of leaves and sweatshirt weather. It is a small glimpse of heaven. I am sure of it!
l.o.v.e. FAll!!!
Scrunching every leaf I can when I go for a walk. I've done this for forever, but now that I'm older I wonder if people think I might need help since my walk looks so erratic.
Apple slices dipped in caramel. Going to the apple orchard for a taste of every kind of apple available and a taste of cider with a warm cider donut.
The only time I like the color orange - orange everything!
The cool fresh air.
Turning on the heating blanket to warm our feet or heating up the oven to bake cookies just so we don't have to turn on the furnace.
Getting outside more, knowing we will be hermits soon.
Feeling the warmth of the sunshine without causing a hot flash.
The sunshine eluminating the colors of the leaves.
ahhhh, Fall.
